Common questions
How do I join the beta?
Put your email on the waitlist and we will send an invite when there is room. Roots is invite-only while we are in beta, so families join in small groups rather than all at once.
Someone sent me an invite link and it did not work.
Invite links open the app directly if you have it installed. If you do not, the link shows you the invite code so you can enter it after you sign up. Email us if the code is not accepted.
How do I delete my account?
You can start account deletion from Settings inside the app. During the beta, email us with the subject line "Privacy Request" if you need help or want confirmation that your request was completed.
How do I get my content out?
Roots does not offer a self-service export during the private beta yet. If you have a question about your account or content, email us and we will help.
Is Roots free?
The beta is free. Long term, Roots is paid, because subscriptions are how we avoid advertising. We will be clear about pricing well before anyone is asked to pay.
